A space for musicians and performance artists who push the edges and explore the taboo, erotic, spiritual/magical and bizarre, in both their magnificent sovereignty and collaborative fornications.
We believe in creating and honouring community containers where art and free expression can be experienced. In a world determined to censor or commodify all the beautiful, primal mess of humanity we embrace these unfettered articulations of flesh, blood and sex.
We’re also committed to creating a safe, judgement free space for you to experience this, and have a zero tolerance policy towards non-consensual and discriminatory behaviours. Please reach out to staff or organisers if you feel unsafe.
It's Crazy Clown Time...
Flesh Rituals & Siren Songs returns, and it’s CRAZY CLOWN TIME. We’re setting the night on fire in a ritual of flame and chaos. Choose the clown you want to be, not the clowns that rule you. Bring your revolution and shake off the chains that bind you.
We’ve been blessed to host a collection of our artist’s new release tours, all blended into one carnival of exquisite sounds and flesh art.
Our glorious ring leader for the night will be Daddy Charles on MC duties.
THE SIRENS
CAITLE ex Asylum Sisters vocalist and current throat of Free Entertainment hits the stage for their solo debut and a new album of delightfully off kilter, dark and eclectic tracks ranging from electro, hip hop and punk.
One man chaos engine Cheap Coffins transported from Sydney for the launch of their new album; and will be bound by Sai Lillith from Infernal Desire Machine once more in a frenetic collaboration of Shibari and industrial chaos.
ZCluster rally the circus with the launch of their new single Crazy Clown Time, a cover of an iconic David Lynch track to coincide with the Canto V Films launch of the latest clip in their Homage series. With special guests including Veronica Vae, Eve X and more if chaos wills it…
Make welcome The Omega Point for their return to the circus, as they close out the ritual with pulsating aural landscapes and immersed in dreams made flesh…

Vintage Vixen brings their brand of gore ridden, disquieting and outright unhinged erotic performance to the stage. Creator of the iconic Pyramidhead piece and glorious Patrick Bateman routine, we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time round.
Veronica Vae, goddess of fire and perverse delights AND one of the stars from Canto V Film’s Homage joins ZCluster for a collaboration to celebrate the launch of their clip.
The notorious Daddy Charles will be honouring the clown gods in their own very special way…

The Soft Machine strives for financial accessibility, fair pay for artists and building community - wherever possible our ticketing structures include sliding scale pricing to allow for attendees to Pay-What-You-Can - with a minimum set lower than the RRP ticket.
This means that those who can't pay the full price can still access the show, while those who can pay at and above the RRP to support art and subsidise community can easily do so!
All sales are split between the bands and performers with a cut for The Soft Machine; so as to keep this project sustainable while still creating viable opportunities for the artists that we're passionate about!
